Corcoran House - Renovations

Corcoran Residence, Milton, MA.  The John M. Corcoran Residence, was designed with Claude Miquelle Associates, Architects in 1983. The exterior form of the house is derived from the ca.1815 Wheeler House, attributed to architect Asher Benjamin, at Orford, NH.  Historic details for the Federal Style homes interior were based upon the work of Charles Bulfinch, Samuel McIntire and Peter Banner, all noted Massachusetts architects of the Federal Period.  Some composition ornament was cast from latex molds of details restored at the Governors Shirley-Eustis House based on McIntires Pierce-Nichols House ca. 1801 renovations in Salem.
